Well, then they said they were finished and I sat up and he took a picture of my tooth and said thhat he wasnt finished. He told my mom and then he opened it back up again because it wasnt they way he wanted. I told him i could feel it and it was hurting. He was like "im almost done. Well the somthing got in my mouth that wasnt supposed to {I have no idea what it was} And I started coughing and swallowed it becaus eit was too strong. They tried to suck it out but couldnt. So I came home a hour ago and they gave me 450 milligrams of advil and it wasnt working. My sinus's are messed up my nose and mouth is burning. We called the denists and they put me on 4 perscriptions. I havnt got them yet.. But culd I sue them or get my money back from this?wHO'S FAULT IS IT? Thanks

as far as the police goes, there is nothing you can do. that is not their territory. You need to find a malpractice lawyer. He will look into the proper way it should have been handled and take action. Most dentist do not say "i don't like it so i want to do it again. He knew something was not right. As far as the meds that went down your throat,it could have been antibiotics, that will give you some horrible stomach pain. Go to another dentist a.s.a.p. to much med that they gave you could make you ill. There should be no reason to take that much.My friend went through the same thing..only to be sent home with gauze and told not to close her mouth because the wire to kill the nerve was exposed....she suffered all night until we brought her to the emergency surgeon that morning. She sued and won, because you must close the area before calling it a day. Which did not happen and it became infected in short amount of time.As to what you have explained...he may have stung your nerve in your tooth..which even Novocaine couldn't help. I would suggest going to another doctor and getting him to write up his findings. If this dentist went to far into the tooth...you may have to have a complete implant done because this tooth is no longer able to be saved. You find a lawyer to help you. As far as money back that is something you would need to discuse with your lawyer. But to be frank..unless there is some damage, excluding pain, there isn't much that can be done. Every office has a way of doing a job. If you are experiancing extreem pain long after the tooth has been fixed...and a nother dintist can find fault in his work. Then it is probably you have a case.
Reply:Well first let me clarify something for you. What your talking about is CIVIL and COPS are into CRIMINAL law NOT CIVIL. So leave cops out of it. As far as a lawyer goes, look in the phone book and under DO-WE CHEAT-EM %26amp; HOWE you'll find a lawyer who I'm sure will represent you in a civil suit. Keep in mind that the lawyer will only take on the case if he/she knows that he/she will get some money out of it.
Reply:there is definitely fault for this whole fiasco.

IT'S YOUR FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you have the nerve to blame the dentist? you are the one with the nasty mouth and bad hygiene. you are the one who didn't take care of your teeth and now you needed a root canal. you sucked down high fructose corn syrup in everything you drank and now you're paying for it.

the need for a root canal is the fault of the patient 99% of the time. only in the case of trauma do you get my pity.

face it, you are nasty, you have a funk mouth, and now you have to live with it. i dare you to sue.
Reply:get second opinion.go to another dentist and have him check the tooth and take x-ray.you probably still have infection considering you are having problems with your sinus and still having pains.

regarding that thing you swallowed,if it was liquid and tasted nasty, you probably swallowed a disinfecting liquid meant to disinfect the canals.sometimes the tooth reacts after root canal and it's considered normal, but if it's still painful and can't stand it anymore,go to another dentist.you can complain on your previous dentist and you might get you money back.

if worse comes to worse,go to endodontist -- they're root canal specialists..drawback is,they charge more =)
Reply:Would LOVE to hear the dentists' side of the story. Sounds like you have nothing to sue for
