I met this guy on my church youth group trip and I like him, and I want to know if he likes me. Any ideas?

I am 15 and he is 18. Is this wrong or illegal? Please give me ideas to tell him that I like him. I am not the kind of person that can just go up to someone and tell them I like him.





If someone could analyze this next thing, I would be really appreciative.





I took of a photo of him on the bus, and he is looking right at the camera so he knows I am taking the picture, and his teeth are biting his finger. What does this mean? Please tell me

If you want to find out if he likes you, ask him out on a date. The worst that can happen is that he says no, which would leave you exactly where you are now. I understand and empathise that you're feeling shy about this, but you just need to get past this -- it's part of growing up, pluck up your courage and ask him if he'd like to go out to for icecream, or to a movie, or something.





As to the legal question: as far as I know, there aren't any laws anywhere about who can date who (as long as neither of them are married!). There are some places where the law says that an 18-year old can't have sex with a 15-year old (though in some of those places this law isn't often enforced unless someone's parents complain to the cops), so if and when you are considering having sex with this guy (if you are still under 18 then), then you might want to check your local legal code, but until then you can relax.





Morally, I don't see any problem with a 15-year-old and an 18-year-old dating, as long as the older one doesn't use the difference in age and experience to take advantage of the younger one.





As for the finger-biting thing, either he's _really_ nervous about having his photo taken, or his finger happend to be itchy or whatever when you took the photo.

Reply:I think that it is illegal depending on what state you are in. I also think that the mind set of a 15 year old and that of an 18 year old are two totally different things and that you may be biting off more than you can chew. I also think that biting of the finger thing is something sexual or it can mean that he thinks that you are cute. Who knows? What I can surmise is that you are not ready to deal with this guy in that manner you do not even know how to read the signals that he may or may not be giving.
