Advice for braces???

Im 16 and the dentist said i needed braces. but i love to take picture of myself and i dont want braces to get in the way and make me look bad. plus i would need them for 2 years, that mean i will have to have them for my senior year pictures. and i dont want to wait to college to have them. i want to get them now to get it over with. the dentist also said i do not qualift for invisiline. and i would proabably look bad with braces since my teeth are so small. also everyone in my grade had them and already had them all. and everyone has perfect teeth. no one has braces anymore and i dont want to be the only one to have them. I need help... should i get them or not????

id get them, there totally worth it in the end. Ive had mine on for about a year now but i love them because i know that my teeth will be gorgeous when i get them off. they shouldn't look bad on your teeth though.


but you need to do everything that they tell you to do, i mean floss and mouthwash etc. the better you take care of your teeth the less complications therefore you can sometimes get them off earlier.


if you do get braces, right before your appointments make sure to take some pain meds so your mouth doesn't get super sore at first.
Reply:Two years isn't really that long, I had mine on for 5 and 1/2 years. I would wait till college so you don't have braces in your senior pictures though, if it means that much to you.
Reply:if your teeth really need them, then yea. ive had my braces for over 2 yrs and im about to get them off. After like a couple of months ull get used to ur braces and they wont be as big as an issue u think they'll be.
Reply:I would get them now, and get them over with. You can always do a smile in your senior pictures where you're not showing your teeth and it would still look good. Just focus on your lops in the picture. Good luck, it really won't be that bad. You'll have a nice smile when they come off.

Reply:yeah i will so be worth it in the end and plus if they make fun of you for having braces its way better than having people make fun of your teeth

Reply:You can atully get braces and the INSIDES of your teeth, so no one can see them! It's great for adults or older people who dont want to be seen in braces!
