Would you please help me iron out my maid of honor toast?

Hi everyone, I'm Megan and I'm Rachel's best friend.


Rachel and I have been best friends for almost 10 years now.


When Jake and Rachel were newly engaged, I wrote Jake a very long letter detailing all the things I was going to have done to him if he hurt my best friend.


I'm only kidding. I did write Jake a letter, and it WAS very long, but it was more to make sure Jake knew how lucky he was to have someone like Rachel in his life forever. Some of you might not know her very well, but I think whether you've known Rachel for 10 years or 10 minutes, you know that you've met someone really special. I told Jake in the letter that if they ever move, Rachel will keep scissors, toilet paper, and pens in a box on top, because those are the things you always need first and nobody ever has. I told him that Rachel will always remember to schedule his teeth cleanings, she'll always remember picture day at school, and she'll never be out of ziploc baggies. that sounds perfect! the only thing i would add would be a special memory of you both after you tell everyone how long you've been friends. the kind of thing that u think about whenever u don't see your friend for a while and ur missing her. the thing that u know u'll tell ur kids about sometime..

Reply:Very nice and very sweet but you need to throw in funny. Can't help you since I don't know you. What are some things you did and got in trouble for? School, teachers, parents, bosses? How about things you did together and someone got hurt. Something not so funny then but hysterical now? Everyone is expecting funny, stupid BS from the best man and heartfelt, mushy stuff form the maid of honor. Do something different and bring up some embarrassing stuff she did. She should be thrilled to have you as a friend and knowing you put so much thought into this.
