What makes a person Powerful?

Today in world history, we talked about when Egypt and Nubia collaborated. They had two picture of two rulers in our books, and she asked us why might they not be smiling. The corret answer was they did not want to show their teeth because they were not perfect, and perfect teeth show power. So then she assigined us a project about what makes a person powerful, and she asked us to ask around to see what people though, and then take what they said and find similar pictures to match what they said. So what do you think makes a person powerful. Powerful as in, makes us want them, want to be them, for us to envy them. Basically for them to have some sort of power in any way over us. Please help me

What makes a person Powerful?
A powerful person must have 2 things, lots of money and political influence.

Reply:if they have a lot of money and are strong. if they own a buisness or head of something important. famous people usualy have power.
Reply:You've lost me - referring to the egyptian's I would say one who was buried in a pyramid - because they had riches in life and in death in accordance with their belief.
Reply:well,native americans it is to believe spirit is the most powerful thing.....everything has spirit.

People in power are good leaders, they have a lot of experience in life, they have to be really good decision makers, they also have to do something good for the people to gain their support. Like a politician can't advertise military power and murder, they have to talk about things that will make the people feel happy and improve their lives. Basically a powerfull person is someone who you can trust and let them guide you in life.
Reply:This is a very good question,I think.Some people would say money equals power,others family and relationships(love).


Money may have advantages,as far as medical care prolonging life,making life easy,bending others to your will(money talks).


On the family side,the push and support from family and friends may grant you inner power.


The truth is,the only real power is realizing you have none what so ever,that it is an illusion,you may get to control some things for awhile,but in the end ,you really have no real control

Of course, money equals power, and will in most situation negate charisma.


Then, of course, you may by accident of birth, be born into a powerful family.
