Can someone tell me how to insert batteries and memory card in a Canon Powershot A560?

And can they please explain it like I am a five year old. I am 73 and got roses for my birthday, and would like to take a picture of them before they open all the way.

I have the two batteries, and the door is open on the bottom of the camera. With the lens facing towards the left, it looks like the left battery should be a minus on top, now the right battery should be a plus on top, because it has a little circle on the right of it that has a plus.

Then the memory card, I read all the instructions, how to handle, how not to write on it with the wrong thing, how to slide the little metal switch up so it can be erased, deleted, I guess they mean the pictures, but how to install it, nothing, now this is my first digital camera. The memory card is a Kingston, it has an arrow on the top, and if I look on the back it has copper teeth in a line, So does the arrow mean that when you put the memory card in the copper teeth go first, and which way do I turn card, Lid will not close. Thanks

Here's a link that tells you how to install batteries %26amp; memory card. Type "install card" in the search %26amp; it will bring up page showing how to install batteries %26amp; card. If you're installing correctly, you usually need to press in with a little pressure so it clicks into place. Good luck!
Reply:please check the user guide for assistance ..
Reply:The copper teeth are the first to go into the camera (it will only go in one way ... and there should be an illustration in your manual showing that, in any case don't force anything when it comes to cameras) Keep the card "unlocked" at all times so you can use the memory card ..locking it has no real benefit to those who use them with cameras.

Loading the batteries is just like putting them in any device that uses them. The plus sign on the battery goes where plus sign is on the camera.

The other part of the equation is owning a computer and having at least intermediate skill using it. It has become the "darkroom" of the millennium, so any changes you want to make to the images are done using the photo program that comes with the camera.

I recommend to take again the instruction manual for d the card at the overview may be signed whre the slot for the card is. For the batteries I recommend to go after that what is on the camera marked.

In general the slots for the memory chips are often at one side of the cameras and a cautchuk door to open. I hope I could help.
