I cant afford braces but I really need them??

Lately I've been joining some pageants and I love it so much but my only problem is my teeth. Being in pageants, you have to take a lot of pictures and I hate not being able to smile in them because I know if I smile it won't turn out as good. And when I hang out with some of the other girls I compete with I always feel very self conscious because they all have such beautiful teeth and it makes my teeth seem even worse which causes me to cover my mouth everytime I laugh. I just want to be able to smile in pageants like everyone else but I can't afford braces right now! What could I do?? Please help me, I'm really frustrated right now.

Look into getting an insurance plan that covers orthodontics. Once you have a good plan, they will cover it (at least a portion).
Reply:have you already had your teeth looked at by a dentist? maybe you just need a retainer.
Reply:I used to use my fingers at night when I went to bed. I would push on my front teeth very hard to try to adjust them every single night. It actually worked. My teeth are straight now and people often ask if I had braces. Give it a whirl, until you actually can afford them. I would usually do it for a three minute count (and then I'd fall asleep).
Reply:i would not use ur fingers to push back ur teeth becuz they will eventully move back and u would need braces either way... and even if u do get ur teeth straight u might need ur bite adjusted to (to keep ur teeth from grinding) so i would just find an insurance that covers it...
Reply:Find a good insurance and go to the dentist to see if you can arrange something with them. You should get braces, find a way to pay for them. You can pay for them each month which is an easy payment plan. There are many different ways to pay for them. Find an insurance that will cover them. I wish you the best of luck : )
