Does anyone believe that flouride is actually good for you?

I have flourosis which is a condition caused by too much flouride in your water, that causes your teeth to discolor and decay. (I'm sure you can find pictures with a web search.) If it does this to your teeth (calcium) what does it do to your bones (also calcium)? It has also been shown in studies that flouride can cause many conditions, including arthritis. I have switched to non-flouride toothpaste, and despite claims that flouride whitens your teeth, my teeth are whiter now that I don't use it. I bring this up because new parents especially need to beware of giving their children too much flouride, although it 'probably' is not good for any of us.

Does anyone believe that flouride is actually good for you?
the big chemical and Pharmaceutical companies are part of the same power structure as the Media, oil,Shipping, and Banking systems ,namely freemasons

all sorts of rumors are flying about

like the asian flue was their invention and so was the suposed medication which killed a lot of kids

so the cure was the killer.

the same rumor is going around for aids, and cancer.

On www.infowars ,by David Icke are several documents that mention these things, and fluoride had on document dedicated to just that

It was stated that it was a slow killer,

I'm only 13 years old, but i have been a volunteer nurse, male nurse that is, believe me !!
Reply:First of all, I'd be interested in knowing where you live in that your water system is somehow over-fluoridated. (Just a note - you have spelled fluoride as flouride - first one I have noted is correct.) Do you know of anyone else in your community who has the same condition as you, or has complaints with the water system and the water they are drinking from it?

If no one else has this condition - fluorosis - then perhaps you are more susceptible to it and have merely aggravated it by drinking the water - how much you drink each day may also be a factor. We are always told to drink lots of water but there must be some people who actually drink too much.

Normally, regulated amounts of fluoride in water are good for everyone. Not just for teeth but for other body systems as well.

There have been recent studies proving that drinking mineral or bottled water is not as good as we all thought. The main reason is that it does not provide any source of fluoride. These types of bottled water also contain certain contents which can lead to other problems. The studies have not revealed exactly what all the problems may be but it is recommended that a person drink at least some 'tap water' that should contain a regulated amount of fluoride.

Although you state that studies have also shown that fluoride can cause other conditions such as arthritis, I would have to think that a person who already is or becomes arthritic at some point in their lives can attribute many other factors to the disease, certainly not just the water they drink.

I have arthritis in some bones of my body but firstly, it is hereditary. My mother and sister both have it, mainly in their hands. It began when my mother did not drink any milk during her childhood nor in adulthood, not even during pregnancy. I was also not helped by the fact that I sustained several fractures - spine, wrist and knee in a motor vehicle accident many years ago.

So, these factors have made me a prime candidate for becoming arthritic. To what degree is unknown yet as I am not 70-80 years old and so one cannot predict exactly how bad I will be in the years to come. I also had bad teeth, not from the water I have been drinking - perhaps it is one thing that kept me from losing most of my teeth sooner than I did. I also love milk and drink the amount I should for my age and gender which also likely saved me from losing some of my teeth years ago.

You should definitely be looking at other factors such as those I have mentioned if you think you may be a candidate for arthritis. I can't honestly say that fluoride would be the only cause for arthritis.

I can only assume you have a doctor's diagnosis to indicate you have fluorosis. You should still be consulting a medical professional, preferably a specialist in Rheumatology (doctor who works with patients having arthritist and other conditions of the bones and joints).

As for not giving your children fluoridated water, this is a mistake unless you can prove that your present condition is hereditary and is aggravated by drinking water containing any amount of fluorine. If so, your children may be at risk for development of the same problems you have.

But if there is no indication of heredity factors involved, you may do a disservice to children by not allowing them to drink fluoridated water. It is a vital source for the development of good teeth and bones when they are very young. Of course, so is milk. The worst thing a child can drink is soda or anything with too much sugar and/or carbonation (fizz).

I hope that you research this problem more thoroughly and not rely on rumours and even information on the 'net.' It is not always accurate and as we all know, everyone has an opinion as to what is good or bad and they may or may not be right.

Your best step is to see a specialist and determine the entire extent of your problem before you make a decision to give up drinking certain kinds of water or worse, to go ahead and decide the wrong thing for children who rely on others to make these decisions for them.

I hope you take these suggestions and I wish you well with your condition.
