I have a dog issue, please help!?

I am 13 years old, I bought a dog named "max" when i was only 6. Just a few months ago max ran away i missed him alot, and he was gone for awhile. Now that max came back i was so happy, but then these people came and they were looking for a dog that looked exactly like max, and it was more than likely him, because he has a lazy ear, and no 2 front teeth, and the one in the picture didn't either. Should i just keep this dog that i've had for 7 years, or give it away??????

Please Help me.

I have a dog issue, please help!?
Do you have proof, that this dog is yours? Pictures that match exactly, etc.

This dog may be theirs, and may be yours. Depending on how long the dog was loose, these may be the people that were caring for him, and assumed he was free to own.

Provide medical files, pictures, etc. to try and prove this is your dog.
Reply:Ask how long hey've had their dog. Does it match how long Max was gone? If not, give them the dog. If it is the same then keep the dog. Just explain the situation to them.
Reply:of course keep it

it was your dog for 7 years

i bet they found your dog while it was lost and now claiming that its there dog not yours of course fight for it

how does it not have 2 front teeth i bet the other owner abused the dog or something

most dogs do always have 2 front teeth normaly
Reply:Hun, your best bet is to talk this over with your parents, and have them with you to talk it over with these other people.

Bring any evidence you have, pictures, whatever, of you having the dog when you were both younger. This is important, as it will help prove your case.
Reply:I would test to see if it's Max. Does he know a special trick or can he recognize his own name? If he can do something that is different, and u know it, it's got to be Max. gl!!!!!
Reply:Ask how long they have had their dog. Does Max have the same things as the dog they are looking for? If it is really your dog then I say keep it and tell them that he ran away but he is yours. It is most important that you find out from the people how long they have had the dog and how they got him.
Reply:If it's been your pet that long then you'll know if he's yours or not. And also since you've had him that long..and your attached to him I dont think you should have to give the pet that YOU love away. Let them know how long you've had him compared to them...you are the rightful owner.
Reply:Keep, him, i know you love him
