My brother calls me up and tells me that he was bitting his nails one day and it slip and it cut his gum line and i asked him if his hands were cleaned but i already knew the answer was no, and it was no because he was working on a car and soo he probably had black dirty nails... Anyways soo i saw it after i think he said 2 days and it looks like a volcano waiting to errupt... i try and scare him telling him thats a serious infection and it if gets to your teeth it will make your teeth rott.... but i also told him to keep touching his teeth and make sure they dont wiggle...
question is what could it be besides an infection, how serious can it be if its not treated ASAP? he bought mouth wash and some medication to num the pain, but just imagine a real big soar between 2 teeth on the gum line and it looks 3 times big red and well bright red. does he need to pop it, should he let a dentist do it? he said after walking for a whyle it got worse

Visit your dentist right away %26amp; never "pop" anything in your mouth.
